I was hoping someone could help me and my dad decide on a great vacation spot for February, either to the Caribbean or Mexico. I'm 24 and my dad is 49 - he wants to go fishing and golfing, while I want beautiful beaches, shopping, and some night life.(so we will both be doing all of these) I have been reading a lot and every place seems to have it's pros and cons, and now I'm so confused. We want to book soon so any opinions would be appreciated, Thx!!

Not caribbean or Mexico but Costa Rica might be for you. Guancaste region?

I recommend Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (mexican caribbean). Good fishing and golf, beautiful beaches, some night life and shopping. Another good choice would be Aruba.

I'd agree with Aruba. Palm beach is beautiful, the shopping is fabulous as is the nightlife, at least according to my son, and they do have golf.

Another vote for Aruba. The best beaches I've ever seen. Good nightlife and good shopping.
