A resort with sand and cliffs?

Hello...

We are looking to have a destination wedding in the caribbean and are desperate to find a resort that has both cliffs and sand. The cliffs are for the wedding ceremony - bare - no gazebo, no arch, just us on the cliffs and the sound of the ocean below! The sand is for the rest of the week! We found La Toc, but they are a Sandals and we will have guests that are under 18. The resorts in Negril, Jamaica appear to be only cliffs (The Caves, RockHouse, Tensing Pen). We are up to go pretty to much anywhere - as long as it isn't as costly as Curtain Bluff in Antigua :)

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

Caroline

It's not a resort, but Astwood Park in Bermuda is a lovely cliff setting. Pros: simple, cliff-top setting, gorgeous blue water below, fairly simple marriage license requirements for foreigners. Cons: public setting, so mght have a few 'guests' in the area (although people are generally respectful of wedding parties), no back-up in case of weather issues, having to get everyone there via public transport. All the hotels in Bermuda have wedding planners who will help with all the logistics, find an officiant, photographer, florist, etc. (I got married in Bermuda and did all my arrangements with my planner via email, it was very easy.)

I'd second the suggestion of The Crane on Barbados. And if you didn't need both in one location (i.e. you could drive to the wedding location from the resort), many islands would work for you. If that's the case, let us know and we can jump in with more suggestions.

my first thought was the crane on barbados

The Cliffs in Negril are stunning and fit what you want. There's a gorgeous 7-mile beach in Negril with lots of places to stay very close by, just down the road. A taxi ride from Tensing Pen or Rockhouse down to any of many great places to stay on the beach is all of 5 mins. maybe.
