a 6 months old baby and 2 girls 6, 9 to go snorkling

Hi all,

I am looking to book a week vacation in the caribbean starting April 4th for 2 aduls and 3 kids, 6, 9 girls and a 6 months.
Important is snorkling of the beach for my girls (quiet water) and a "baby club" not baby seating. For the adults, not a very large resort with 3000 people around you and with some "authanticity". French leaving in the uS...
Last, maybe all inclusive...

Thanks for any recommendations.

take a look at: http://www.beaches.com/main/tc/tc-home.cfm
outstanding beach, almost always calm water as the bay is protected by a reef.

Calm water and snorkeling from the hotel's beach is hard to find. Snorkeling is good if there is a reef close to shore. In Turks and Caicos, we did not find much to see snorkeling on Grace Bay except for the reef located at Coral Gardens.

Aruba has nice calm water, but again most of the beach front hotels, there will not be good snorkeling. You can either take a car or go on a tour to Baby Beach, where the water is very calm and there are tons of fish to see. It's called Baby Beach because it's great for children.

Curacao is also supposed to have good snorkeling from shore. Check Breezes, which is a family friendly AI property. We are booked for Curacao in May, but not staying at Breezes.

Some of Cozumel's hotels has good beach snorkeling. Look at the El Cozumeleno. It;s AI resort about 5 minutes from town. It is reported to have great snorkeling especially around the pier. You can also take a day trip to Chanakaab Park. Nice calm water and decent snorkeling there. The only concern I might see with children is order to get into the water you have to climb up/down several steps. No zero entry available. The beach area is very nice and there is wait service for food and drinks.

you'll be hard pressed to find a baby's club-every place that offers kids clubs in the Caribbean require kids to be potty trained. Most require 3 years of age, plus. The ones that do, usually do offer excellent babysitting service. So if you forgo the "baby club" for babysitting, you'll get plenty of recommendations.....

Also wanted to add Grand Cayman's 7 Mile Beach. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott. The beach is across the street, but there was a small reef offshore. Too far for kids to swim to, but there were several fish close to the shore.
