7MB Condition/Cayman Island
 

In the past 2 weeks I've been told by 2 different people that the condition of 7 Mile Beach has deteriorated significantly since last year due to hurricanes. I was there a year ago and 7MB was fantastic. We are taking our family again for a mid April spring break. I can't believe any damage done has not long since been repaired, but would love to hear from someone who has recently visited. Thanks!

I'll be going to GC in 20 days. From what I heard, the further north you go on 7MB,the better the beach.

RandyK,<BR>It was the southern end of 7MB that had major erosion from the hurricane. And I've heard that the Marriott is getting some of their beach back. I wouldn't worry at all, 7MB is still fantastic!! The further north you go, the better the beach.<BR>Sandy

I just returned from 7 Mile Beach. It was beautiful. Some condos/hotels had alot of sand, and some had less, but it was beautiful everywhere, even at the Marriot.

My husband and I just returned from GC and we stayed at the Westin. The beach was fantastic! We walked to the northern part of 7MB, and it was beautiful, soft sand the whole way.<BR><BR>We were at the Marriott's pool for a scuba resort course one morning, and we could not believe how small the beach was at that hotel. It seems as if they are trying to extend the beach there, but I would certainly not be happy staying there.
