40th Anniversary

Hello Group, My wife and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary in late April and want a pretty, quaint and fun getaway. I am thinking St. Croix (late April to early May). We do like to hike, snorkel and SCUBA dive, although we haven't dove in a while. My wife likes to walk along a nice sandy beaches collecting seashells. We like renting an AirBnB or VRBO and then explore other areas and places to eat. However, drinking a glass of wine on the patio watching the waves and listening to the Ocean is high on our list. We are leaning to the West side, the Frederiksted area, getting an ocean front place. We heard the sunsets are incredible. We have also heard the BioBay tour is great and is available at the end of April this year.

Do you think St. Croix fits our listed wants and do you like the west area or do you have better recommendations. Also, what are some good restaurants and good beach side bars. If we decide to SCUBA dive, what dive group do you recommend?

Thanks, Jim

No, St. Croix won't work. You cannot take any shells from the USVI.

Well I tried to edited my post to delete the shell collection, but it says I'm offline and it will not let me edit.

Welcome to Fodors. One can edit their own comments for a short time after they post. After that window has closed you can request the moderators edit your post by clicking on the small orange triangle. In this case we could delete the reference to collecting shells, however that would make J62's post nonsensical so we are not editing your post.
