3-nights at El Conquistador?

I found a good online deal for 2 in February at El Con. in Puerto RIco for a little more than $800 total. Based on other "deals" I have seen this seems like a good price to me... my question is -- I know this resort is in the middle of nowhere... is there enough to do if we stay for 3 nights and not leave the resort? I do not plan on renting a car. Thanks!

Even longer wouldn't be a problem if you are into any activities (golf, tennis, etc), but 3 nights stay will pass as one day even if you are a lazy bump like I am. 10-min boat trip to the beach on a private island, several huge swimming pools, grounds just to (lazily) walk around, casino. I loved the place, my daughter still rates El Conquistador as the best resort - and she's seen quite a few.

We are leaving tomorrow for 4 nights at the El Conquistador. If you read the messages over at tripadvisor.com you'll be somewhat horrified but we are going anyway as we got a deal on Priceline vacations. Good luck with your decision. Threehearts

My son use to live in PR. He would go there for a weekend getaway and just raved about the place. He loved it. I have only heard endless complaints about the food prices.

Thanks everyone!! I would up booking the trip today! Yippie! One of the complaints I read was about beer costing $7 and mixed drinks costing $8 -- honestly that sounds cheap to me. LOL I have paid $15 for a Martini in Manhattan -- now THAT is a ripoff!! Threehearts - enjoy your stay!
