25 yr old woman traveling alone to the Caribbean
 

Hello,

I am planning to take a trip to the Caribbean in late May/early June alone. I'm from Detroit so I am pretty street smart but I wanted to know what are some of the safer islands to go to for women traveling alone? I am looking for a place where I can sit on the beach by day and dance all night. I am also looking for low cost options, maybe a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel. Any advice would be helpful...

I'd head to the Mayan Riviera (on the Caribbean coast of Mexico). Playa del Carmen is nice.
