20 Somethings on a Budget
We're a younger couple (25\24) looking to spend around 3500 for a week.
I would like a nicer room, I really love those open air places but I know most of those are out of our budget. We would like to explore... lots of hiking, diving, kayaking. We really just want to take in the outdoors but have somewhere beautiful to come back to eat and sleep. We haven't been researching long.. other than knowing the Dominican Republic is the place most within reach, we're kind of at square one. What are some great luxurious hotels with great activities and minimal contact with other people's children? We defiantly want to avoid family resorts. We aren't the clubbing type- but we do love to drink. I'm a bit of a foodie. Are all inclusive places cheaper in the long run? |
<Are all inclusive places cheaper in the long run?>
There's no cut & dry answer to that. Depends what kind of an AI you pick. And what kind of a non-AI you're comparing it to. I do think generally speaking you will find the DR, Jamaica (and Mexico) overall less expensive than Grand Caymans or BVIs. |
I'd recommend Mexico, specifically the Riviera Maya. Tons of all inclusive resorts in that area for your budget.

Cayman is a bit more expensive but definitely worth the trip. Great for diving.
If you're on a budget I suggest looking for a room through AirBNB or VRBO. Lot's of affordable activities and places to eat too. |
you need central America--
more in budget, more things to do Mexico Belize Honduras (Roatan) Costa Rica |
