2 single girls...not knowing where to go.
We are 2 single girls in our late 20's who want go to a resort the last week of April I was looking for a resort that isn't full of families or kids but not necessarily an adults only. I think the most important for us is a beautiful beach and nice night life whether it's at teh resort or not. Any suggerstions?
Mexico is also an option. |
Look at Negril Jamaica or the Mayan Riviera of Mexican around the Playa del Carmen area.

April is still prime Spring Break time. You'll be hard pressed to find a hotel not full of families during that time. There are a few hotels in Cancun that caters to Spring Breakers if you are looking for that kind of atmosphere. They are some boutique hotels off of 5th Avenue that might not have too many kids, but will be a short walk to the beach area. The cliff area in Negril might not have too many families.
If you can wait until the 2nd or 3rd week of May you will find lesser crowds and cheaper prices. |
You don't mention where you are flying from or budget. If you provide that it would be helpful. I agree it is spring break time everywhere. An A/I in playa del carmen or mexican riviera would be good.

Last week of april should be fine with reference to spring breaks. Most college spring breaks are in March. Most school children get the week off of easter, the week before, or the week after. (public/catholic) Some private schools are off in Feb/March for spring break.
I doubt the last week of april is a week off of school since most colleges are done in early may. Anyway, on your list, I would think st. kitts would be too quiet for singles wanting night life. Puerto Rico will have gambling and nightlife, haven't been to Jamaica, but I am sure there is nightlife there. Aruba also has gambling and clubs to go to. |
Puerto Vallarta is also a great town to visit. Loads of nightlife, great restaurants, things to see and do. The beaches are the Pacific coast, so not as picture-postcard-perfect as the Caribbean side. But the town itself more than makes up for it imo.
