1st visit accomodation

Need recommendations for which location to look at for a villa or cottage which would be located closest to the main town (I haven't reviewed Nevis too much yet so I'm not even sure if there is a main part of town such as Cruz Bay in St. John.) Would also like to have a view of St. Kitts and the Caribbean.

I'm afraid I can't help you much with villa or cottage rentals on Nevis. It's a very small island, though, so location isn't usually an issue. It won't help to be close to "town" though because most people dine around and shops and hotels are scattered all over the island. Perhaps you should look at Hurricane Cove, which is a resort but made up of bungalows (not really a "villa" though). It is on the St. Kitts side of the island. But Pinney's is the best beach.

There are lots of beautiful villas in Nevis. Visit www.nevis1.com for a list.

I personally like Moonhill. www.villacaribbean.com

Highly recommend Hurricane Cove and Nevis Cottage. www.neviscottage.com

Which would have the best ocean views, Hurricane Cove or Nevis Cottages? I think I read somewhere that the road up to Hurricane Cove is very steep and kinda scarry. We plan on renting a car, should we be concerned on lets say a rainy day?

Not sure which has the best view. I sent honeymooners to Hurricane Cove last year and they loved it. The owner, Kathryn Wyatt is very helpful.

You definitely should rent a car while in Nevis.

You shouldn't have any concerns if it rains.

Another website you might find helpful is www.nevisisland.com

As Liz said go to www.nevis1.com and click on villas - you'll find detaled listings (with many photos) for just about every rental villa and rental cottage on Nevis. The website has tons of other information about the island. There are plenty of villas that will give you views of St. Kitts and the Caribbean. Most rental villas are really not that close to Charlestown and things are pretty spread out on the island. Plan on renting a car if you want to see everything Nevis has to offer.

Don't worry about the road up to the Hurricane Cove cottages. It's really not that bad, besides I it isn't any steeper than many other hilly roads you'll encounter while on Nevis. Hurricane Cove will have the best views simply because they are locted on a cliff directly above the water. Nevis Cottages are much further away from the water.

Who is Sunnyboy? Do you know a guy named (In Nevis)Tragic Magic aka Magic, also the guy who writes nevis1.com? His real name is Mike or Mark I think. We met him once at Oualie Beach. Are you him?

Respect and say hi to Daddy Bougna, Lobs, Piggy in Cotton Ground and to Skull up by Bambooshay Big Up
