10 Wedding Anniversary

Looking for somewhere to spend our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Like Luxury accomodations. Husband dives. Want few to no kids around - we are a childless couple! Privacy would be nice. Have been to Aruba, Bahamas (Cable Beach), Jamaica, Cozumel, Grand Cayman. Did not enjoy the constant hassles in Jamaica. Any suggestions?

I would highly recommend Anguilla! It has the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen, great food, quiet, romantic, non-commercial, no kids and overall very private and exclusive. Some great resorts are Cap Juluca, Malliouhana and Cuisanart. Good luck!

How about Petit St Vincent in the Grenadines?

Congratulations on 10 years - we'll be 25 years in 2003! We are child free also. Hubby is a diver too, and took 'dives' with patients at the hospital where he worked in their hyperbaric chamber.

When we go on vacation, we have both issues to take into consideration, and since he has traveled more extensively around the world, he is particular; he's more of a Ritz Carlton kinda guy. However, I have to be the 'vacation planner' and really take into consideration places that are not like, for example, thatched-roof villas for him, he would NOT be happy about that.

This year we went back to the USVI for the 3rd time and stayed at the Renaissance. Our fav is the Morningstar Resort at the Frenchman's Reef, cause it has villas on the beach, very pretty, and much less kids than at the hotel. However, he wanted to do more dives, and the Renaissance is closer to Red Hook, where most of the charters go for St. John and the British VI for dives/snorkeling.

One good thing at the Renaissance was that there is the main pool, only about 5 ft. deeo where the kids / parents go, and then's there a less frequented pool by the main restaurant, that had NO one, up to 9 ft. The main pool had the snack bar / beach bar, the other pool had nothing but lounge chairs and shaded areas with tables, but there's no problem bringing stuff there.

We took a charter yacht and hubby had a ball at various dive/snorkel sites between Virgin Gorda and Norman Island.

Previously when we went, there's a site a Trunk Bay (I believe) in St. John that he went to also. St. John is like paradise.

Besides Cozumel and Caymans, hubby likes the Virgin Islands, and even tho I don't snorkel or dive, they are just gorgeous locales.

Hope this helps - have a great time!

Saw where someone recommended Anguilla which we love. Headed there for the 13th time this November. However the diving isn't the best. Would recommend you look into Providenciales (Provo) in the Turks and Caicos. Great diving, fantastic beach. Suggest you check out Point Grace which is a very nice condo resort--www.pointgrace.com. Quiet and intimate with few kids. www.wherewhenhow.com the online magazine of the Turks and Caicos is a good source of info on Provo
