1/2 Day In San Juan, Need Ideas
 
Will have a Friday afternoon in San Juan, staying at the Marriott. Is there any sightseeing with a dash of local shopping near the hotel? We won't have a car.

not sure how close or far it is from the marriot, but it's very easy to take a cab to old san juan. You can spend half a day walking the cobblestone streets, shopping and sightseeing at the old forts.

That is a good idea. Does anyone know how far it is from the Marriott to Old San Juan?

It's just a few miles away. About a ten minute cab ride.

i'd also suggest a visit to one of the 14th century forts, both right at the corners of old san juan. you'll only have time to visit 1 and i believe they are open until 6pm :)
