Yukon / NWT / TUK
 

Planning a month long trip to the Yukon and Alaska. The destination is Tuk in the NWT. Which means travelling the Dempster Highway. Hoping to hear from people who have travelled the Yukon and the Dempster.
Would like to hear about highlights, low lights and everything between. We do have 2 small dogs, so that may be an issue at seeing some things.
Travelling the Dempster in August, what can we expect for wildlife ? Camping was easy to find ? Do we need to book campsites ?
