Your favorite travel web sites?

What I would be really interested in knowing is what are travel sites to do feel the Best of the Best, that is, ones that you always use and rely on when planning travel. You can list them so that I may add up to my collections.
Thanks for your help.

FODORS forum is where I start. I also use tripadvisor.

At the risk of looking like a travel geek...

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/
http://www.tripadvisor.com/
http://www.airlinequality.com/
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/uk
http://www.roughguides.com/
http://www.flightstats.com/go/Flight...tingByRoute.do
http://www.seatguru.com/

I use expedia quite often, not just to book a trip, but because it contains a lot of useful travel advice.

and of course, Fodors!

For the general 'researching' of many locations -- tripadvisor, fodor's, lonely planet.

For British Columbia/Yukon:
http://www.hellobc.com/

For Puerto Vallarta Mexico:
http://vallartainfo.com/

Depends what I'm looking for...

-General research: lonelyplanet.com - the formal website and the thorntree forum
-Bargains: www.travelzoo.ca (their weekly top 20 comes to my inbox - it's the only "spam" I actually look forward to. I know it's all advertisers, but I've found some great deals I wouldn't have thought to look for on my own).
-Booking chain Hotels: hotwire or priceline
-Unique accommodation: airbnb.com
-Hotel reviews: TripAdvisor
-Private tours: www.toursbylocals.com

Airline Quality is a good one it is owned ran by skytrax it has excellent ratings on aircraft and airports.

I often use tripadvisor (www.tripadvisor.com) for hotel reviews and like VirtualTourist (www.virtualtourist.com) for general information and tips about my destinations.
I often read and write reviews on these sites and also use SkyTrax website (www.airlinequality.com) for airline reviews. I found out another website that looks pretty cool: Airlikes (www.airlikes.com). It reviews airlines and airports.

I also read SmarterTravel (www.smartertravel.com) which offers interesting articles and deals.

www.fodors.com my fav for non-biased travel guides/info

LP for shoestring TA for hotel reviews though some fake

TA mods sanction occult for profit "destination expert" agents

on their forums so be careful there...easy to get scammed.

www.luxurylink.com DC upscale travel also

www.betterbidding.com for AMAZING 5 star hotel discounts

like for me recently the Zurich Marriott riverview suite $80

www.virtualtourist.com for good boots on ground local info.

Happy Travels!

lonelyplanet use to be great but i find it has very little activity in the past year. to bad...use to be great for travelers who were interested in budget traveling or off the beaten track spots.

I always look at hotel reviews on Tripadvisor - http://www.tripadvisor.ca
And my favourite Women only travel site is the Women's Travel Club - http://www.womens-travel-club.com
