Who has made a Resolution to see the Red Sided Garter Snake Migration?

I bet that resolution is right up there with losing weight and exercising.

I also bet you did not know the largest aggregation of snakes on earth occurs in Narcisse, Manitoba, under 2 hours from Winnipeg, roughly during mid-April to mid-May.

If the title speaks to you, it's time to start the preparation and the countdown. It took me years to finally get there. Don't wait as long as I did to visit these fascinating snake dens.

The linked trip report might help in your planning.

Don't delay. And no need to thank me for giving you the nudge. Save your thanks for the snakes!

Who knew? I've been looking for an excuse/reason to travel to Winnipeg. Could this be it? Loved the trip report.

We're thinking of driving to Winnipeg to see the new museum and had talked about seeing this too. It's amazing. Have you been to Churchill ?

I saw the museum in 2003 and it was very impressive. I saw it enroute to the polar bears on Churchill.

Funny you should mention Churchill. End of Oct I'll be heading back to Churchill this time staying in the tundra lodge.

It's a new museum actually. Canadian museum for human rights. I'm jealous of your visit to tundra lodge!
