White Christmas

We want experience a white Christmas for 2013 (we live in Australia), and I heard that
there places that transform their town to a Christmas wonderland.. Any suggestions where is the best place to go? Hotels?

Doesn't have to be Canada, I'm open to suggestions...
Many thanks.

Well, there is Leavenworth, Washington. Here's a few pictures: https://www.google.com/search?q=leav...w=1152&bih=572

Go to Québec City. It's a walled city, unique in North America and you will be guaranteed snow at Christmas time.

If you have the money, look into a Rhine cruise. The ship stops at many German and Austrian towns and is quite spectacular.

I lived along the Rhine for several years, and yes, some of the towns are very attractive at Christmas. However it's most unlikely that you would have a White Christmas there. (BTW you won't see any Austrian towns along the Rhine).

If you are coming all the way from Australia and want to experience a white Christmas, you want to pick some place where snow is guaranteed at that time of year.
