Whistler with a 2-year old

My husband and I are considering a weekend at Whistler. We have a son who is almost 27 months. Would it be fun for us or is it not the right place to vacation with a 2-year old? Are there fun things to do with a young child?

When are you going? If you go in the winter I believe your two year old can go to ski school.

Sorry, I was wrong, the ski school starts taking kids at 3 yrs. However, there is a daycare program.

Not sure when you are coming, so it's hard to answer, but there is the Meadow Park rec center with pool that is great for kids. There are also day care programs that give you some freedom to ski. Go to www.whistlerblackcomb.com for more information. Cheers, Al

Just do not ski with your kid in a kiddy backpack carrier. There was a really tragic story a few years ago. There is no neck support in those carriers.

We're taking our 20 month old up for the second time. She will spend a day in the daycare, but we'll also have some fun time with her going sightseeing on the ski lift, sledding, swimming in the warm pool, etc etc. It won't be AS fun for her as some other choices might be, but it is very relaxing for us.
