Whistler Ski Vacation

Planning a family vacation from Feb 24 thru March 1. We are a family of 5 kids are 21, 19 and 15. Was hoping for info on places to stay. We are looking for a two bedroom condo would love to be in the village. Any help would be appreciated. Are there websites that I could find good deals on condo's, lift tickets and other activities.

We love the Carleton Lodge right by the gondola and lifts - great rates, nice condos, and wonderful views if you stay on the mountain side.

I've visited many of the places to stay in Whistler and you can find info about the Carleton and other possiblities at www.scubamom.com/travels/whistler/

Our family of 8 (now 10) have been going skiing in Whistler for years. It's our favorite place in North America since it has something for everyone - skiing, shopping, lots of restaurants, and outdoor activities too.

Have fun!

ScubaMom, Did you find the Carleton to be noisy with all of the bars there. Because I live in Whistler, I haven't stayed there , but I would think it is a noisy spot at night. Cheers, Al

Hey WhistlerAl, how is the Pan Pacific noise wise, in rooms overlooking the village during ski season, around Christmas and New Year? Thanks.

One of my clients owns a Pan unit, and he said you can definitely hear the party noise and the music coming from the Dublinn Gate pub. I would suggest renting something in the Gables, which is right between the two mountains , but away from the village noise. Also, the Westin should be quieter as well. Cheers, Al

I alos have a client that owns in The Woodrun right on Blackcomb, ski in/ ski out. Go to www.whistlerluxurycondo.com for rental info. Cheers, Al

We've stayed at the Pan Pacific twice, and never had a problem with noise--and I'm a light sleeper. Ask for a higher floor if you're concerned.

The location is perfect, and the property beautiful. I found a good rate on Expedia.

We don't down hill ski, but X country.
Would Whister still be a favorable place
to vacation to include X country?

WhistlerAl Sep 26th, 2004 09:58 AM

Whistler has over 20 miles of groomed x country trails, including one that is lit at night and is right next to the village.Go to www.crosscountryconnection.bc.ca for more information. Cheers, Al
