Whistler is it better in feb (president's week) or mar (holy week)

Hi,

I am trying to book a family ski vacation in Whistler for either president's week in Febuary or March 19-24 which straddles the beginning for Easter week.

We are afraid February might be too cold.
But at the same time we are afraind that week in March might be overly crowded and hotel rates might be higher.(just booking air right now). We usually ski Vermont during February in the Northeast and it is ok. March can be icy.

Your input would be appreciated.
Thank you : )

Whistler is nowhere near as cold as Vermont, even though it's further north. The Pacific ocean nearby Whistler keeps Whistler relatively mild.

... so my point is, don't let the assumption of it being too cold stop you. If you've been to Vermont, you'll find Whistler warmer.

Here's a chart with Whistler's average temperatures each month. It gives you an idea of the difference between February and March:

Wow thank you so much. This really helps. I am leaning to book in Febuary then.
