Whistler and Vancouver
At the end of July my family (wife and 11 and 7 year old) will be spending 4 nights in Whistler and 2 nights in Vancouver. We are currently booked to stay at the Delta Whistler Resort and the Blue Horizon in Vancouver. Both hotels are moderately priced. Can you provide recommendations for these hotels or other that may be preferable. Also, any attractions which should not be missed< Thank you.

Try Priceline. Bidding for a 4*in Vancouver, I got the HILton Metrotown for $40 US per night for late May. Biddingfortravel.com tells people's succesful bids. Folks have gotten the westin, and Fairmont for less than I've paid for a Comfort Inn. Have a great trip.

In Vancouver you'll definetly want to see Stanley Park, Granville Island, and Robson St. Your children might enjoy the aquarium at Stanley Park! Definetly take the gondola up to the top of Whistler. It's incredible.

I have stayed at the Blue Horizon many times, it is centrally located, the rooms are quite large and comfortable. Ask for a higher floor. Make sure you leave nothing in your car as breakins are a problem in Vancouver at hotels with outside parking. The Blue Horizon has some outdoor parking.<BR>I have not stayed at the Delta in Whistler, we usually stay at The Aspens.

The Delta Hotel in Whistler is a great place to stay--very central in the village. Summer activities are many here in Whistler--rent mountain bikes (take the gondola up and and do the terrain park down the mountain) canoeing down the River of Goldren Dreams, unlimited hiking of all levels nearby, shop, dine, swim in nearby Lost Lake, walk or bike the paved valley trail, etc. etc. etc....ENJOY!
