which hotel in Vancouver
Hi all
I am driving from Seattle on July 3rd to Vancouver for a fun/relaxing weekend. I will leave on Sunday.I have made reservations on all three of these. Which one is more worth the money? 1. Pacific Fairmont Rim ( comes with breakfast buffet, late check out) 2. The Loden Hotel (comes with breakfast buffet, late check out) 3. The Listel hotel Thank you very much S |
We don’t know how much you would be paying, or what you are most looking for in a hotel, so how can we say?
|
I am looking for great service, good location and breakfast buffet is a plus. Yes, Fairmont price is ski high but apparently it is a reputable one.
|
These hotels are in different classes. The Fairmont is lovely, well located, has good service and is expensive. The Loden is more of a boutique but is also nice. The Listel is likely less expensive and seems to be popular with tourists.

I did do fairmont. I can help with advice
|
We've stayed at The Listel. The location was good for us, as we like to walk and it was easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. We didn't think the deluxe room on the upper floor was worth the cost. Front desk was friendly but service was not that impressive. It is a medium-range hotel, nothing particularly special.

We have chosen the Shangri-la. Any comments about it?
|
Any opinions on Shangri-la or the westin bayshore? Expect to stay 3 nites. Also what would the cab fare be approximately to the shangri-la. The westin comes with transfers from the Princess cruises
|
A few people we know who stayed there on a business trip gave the Shangri-la mixed reviews. Everything was ok, service was kind of cold.
My husband was in Vancouver last week and stayed at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Gives it a big thumps up. We might be going to Vancouver together next year and will probably pick that hotel again. |
I stayed at fairmont pacific rim twice this summer. Second time was better after I gave them feedback
