Which Coastline to Explore?

We have only a short vacation five days a year. We want a memorable boat trip, possibly up the St. Lawrence river from Montreal to Quebec and on to whale watching? Or else along the coast of Nova Scotia or P.E.I, which do you suggest? We are traveling out of Montreal. Thank you.

You could also easily do New Brunswick instead of NS, by the time you drive through NB to get to NS you would have wasted a lot of your short time. Our North Shore is beautiful, with lots of beaches and small towns to explore.

I have to agree with Melissa. Although I am from Nova Scotia and think it is the most beautiful place in the world, with only 5 days, NB is your best choice! There are gorgeous beaches and beautiful scenery and some very nice accommodations. I would vote for NB. I can't help but think how fabulous 5 days in St.Andrews would be right now!!

Thank you! Could you possibly give your favorite places to stay?

Candice

We did the NB coast 3 weeks ago and stayed at the Algonquin in St. Andrews, St. Martin's Country Inn (about 45 minutes from Saint John) and Inn at Little Shemogue (near the Confederation Bridge to PEI). All were excellent, though the Algonquin was pricey compared to the other two.
