Where would you stay and what would you do in Quebec....

Where would you stay in Quebec if it were your first visit and you had 2 teenagers going along for 3-4 days in August. What are your "must see" and "must do" suggestions? What part of the city - and what hotel - would you recommend?

I'd like to know about Quebec with teens, too. Any thoughts?

I would recommend Montreal. A large city with European charm.

Are you asking about Quebec the province or Quebec the city?

Quebec City, thanks. We visited Montreal last year and Toronto the year before. Thought we'd try something new this year.

Linda, if your budget allows I would stay at the Fairmont in Quebec. The location is great - can't be beat.

Hilton and Radisson should be cheaper, and they're also nicely located within 5-10 minutes form the old city and St. Lawrence River. I would also recommend buying a 3-hour city tour from Grayline (grayline.ca) - very informative. Enjoy.
