Where to stay in Toronto?

I will be in Toronto at the end of July, would you please suggest me where should I stay? Close to downtown?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Carolina

Budget?

Any place downtown that is 3 star or above is convenient to almost anything... if money is no object, consider Yorkville... if money matters, use a bidding service like priceline or Hotels.com...

We were in Toronto last summer and stayed at the Cambridge Suite Hotel - Absolutely fantastic. Best deal in Toronto and believe me, I looked around. Highty, highly recommend it. We paid $205 a night and it includes an excellent breakfast.

Toronto was very nice. We did the tour bus (on-off) and that was a perfect way to get to see the city and then hone on areas you want to see more of. Well worth the money for the bus tour.

Chinatown was great..Spadina Gardens is good for reasonable and good Chinese. Kensington Market was great..We're foodies so there were several areas that were really great ..for us.

We took the harbour boat tour as well and we enjoyed that, too.

Do you mind staying in hostels? If not, try Canadiana Backpackers (which is right in the Entertainment District) or Global Village, which is downtown too.
