Where to eat in Calgary?

We will be flying into Calgary late in the day and would like to stop either in downtown Calgary or some other location close to the Trans-Canada highway for dinner. We plan to head to our hotel in the northwest after dinner, leaving for Banff first thing in the morning.
Does anyone have some suggestions for restaurants? We like good quality food but won't be dressing up, as we will be arriving wearing our hiking boots.

Appreciate any suggestions, thank you.

Here's a link to a site which lists most of Calgary's restaurants which you can filter by price, location, type etc.

If you're staying in/near motel village (near McMahon stadium), one of my favourites is Big T's BBQ & Smokehouse.

Note, this is not a restaurant for vegetarians.

Thank you for the information, particularly the list from ShelliDawn. We found a good price at The Westin for one night in downtown Calgary. Any particular recommendations for good food within walking distance? Not a place where you have to dress up, as we are pretty much bringing hiking clothes. Specific restaurant names really help. We are not big meat eaters and do like to have vegetables / fresh produce with our meals if possible. Like Chinese food, Greek, other.

We eat fairly often at Prego's in Eau Claire Market not that far from the Westin. Good Italian and great servers. There are other restaurants in Eau Claire. Also a "Joey's" restaurant there with a lot of choices - dined there a few times and liked what we had. If you want a pricey local food high end restaurant, River Café on Prince's Island is a great choice. The interior is very "woodsy", I don't think hiking clothes are going to be a problem, but you could ask. When we've dined there (special occasions) the food has been marvelous.

Thanks, tansay. Unfortunately we have already returned from our trip, but I will keep your suggestions handy for next time. Joey's was one of the places recommended by the hotel concierge. But we chose one of her other suggestions ( mentioned in my trip report).
