What to do in Ottawa with 2 Year-old??

Hello. We are travelling to Ottawa this weekend to see family and want to get out a little. We realize museums are out of the question, so do you have any suggestions on what to do (even if you just suggest a really nice park). Thanks.

Right off the top of my head-

Changing of the guard ceremonies on Parliament Hill every morning, weather permitting (but, it can be very hot in summer).

Also seem to remember a hands-on science museum that should provide some diversion for a child that young.

Perhaps your child will enjoy boat rides on either river or Rideau Canal.

The Museum of Civilization in Hull has a children's museum that your child might enjoy.. check out:

http://www.ottawakiosk.com/civilization.html

The Canadian Children's Museum is in the Museum of Civilization right across the river from Ottawa in Hull, Quebec.

2 year olds don't care about very much, but they'll like to run on the grass on Parliament Hill.

And everyone earlier was right -- even a 2 year old will love the Children's Museum Part (including some of the outdoor areas) at the Museum of Civilization in Hull.

BAK
