What did you family like best in Toronto?

Hi,
I'm taking my 2 kids, ages 12 and 15, to Toronto for 3 days next week. I've read the guide books, but now I'd love to hear from those of you who've been there and done that.
What was your favorite family activity in Toronto? How about your favorite restaurant for a fun, family meal? Thanks for your input!

Our faves when that age were
Metro Zoo, lions and tigers, oh my.
Science Centre, very cool!
CN Tower, an expensive view but at that age even the elevator going up is fun.
walking around China Town and having lunch there (can't remember where!)

I don't know if it's there any more or has changed, but we used to like eating at the Old Spaghetti Factory, it does serve more than spaghetti. It just seemed to be a cool place, and had those "old style" machines to tell your fortune or whatever. I don't know how to explain them well, but they remind me of the old fashioned mechanical piggy banks that are collectors items now where you put in the coin and it makes stuff on the bank, like a car, move. ANYWAY, its downtown and will be in the phone book if its still there.
Hope this helps?

Cat this is so funny as I was reading Pat's memo I was thinking of the same places you mentioned then when I read the restaurant you recommended I had to laugh I love the Old Spag Factory. You know what they say about great minds..lol I would also recommend Hockey Hall of Fame or The Royal Ontario Museum. Skydome for a Bluejay game if they are playing you can always get tickets. Enjoy.

Ontario Place, lots of fun for kids and even adults. Wonderland just outside of Toronto is a big amusement park, but it gets pretty crowded. Take the ferry from behind the Westin Harbour Castle across to Toronto Island.

I'm so glad someone else knows/likes the Old Spag Fac!
I'm sorry I didn't mention the Sky Dome, guess I didn't because I'm not much into sports.
Yes, the ROM is great, they have put on some incredible exhibits.
Wonderland is terrific fun, but a whole days trip in my opinion and since Pat only has 3 days, I would save that for when they have more time.
Pat,

I have taken 14 year old boys basketball teams up to Toronto 3 or 4 times and Sega City (I believe West of Toronto a little bit but convenient to the main highways) near Mississauga was the big hit. Full of virtual reality games and other video games with a baseball hitting setup, putt putt, and other fun things. Especially if the kids are boys. Been to the science center but a lot of stuff was not working. Been to Canada's Wonderland, would recommend it even if it is sometimes crowded. Zoo was nice, Blue Jays game should be able to sit close to field since BlueJay attendance is off.

Have fun.
Howard
