Whale watching with a 3yr old

Can it be done? :( , or should i squash this trip?

Not much to go on, but if you go to Tadoussac as i understand you can readily get sightings from shore . And big cruise ships (non zodiak). Thus the 3 year old is not a big deal. from a small boat? I have 14 and 17 year olds and elect the 2 hour zodiak over the 3 hour for "cant sit long" reasons

Where are you planning to go whale watching? For example, the orca tours that leave from Vancouver take up to 3-5 hours and generally don't allow children under the age of 5.

The question is are you going to have fun? Do you get seasick? Is it possible the 3 year old might get seasick? I would squash the whale watching, but there are so many other family oriented things to do in Vancouver. This site has lots of family ideas in Vancouver, www.findfamilyfun.com

By not going to BC i gather we would be missing out on seeing ORCA's.... but i have spoken to some places in Quebec and as well Nova Scotia,, sounds like we could go out "privately" and if my son fussed at all, or there were any problems we could turn back, not ruining anyone elses trip. He will have just turned 3, i don't think the terrible two's will end on the day of his 3rd bday.. so for how long he will sit, or if he will cry i don't know... but the flexibilty in knowing we can try, and turn back if nec. is a bonus.
We will do the ORCA trip for sure when he is older! :)
Thanks
