Whale Watching

We would like to go whale watching within 3 hours of Quebec City. Where would you recommend we go? Can you suggest a boat operator as well as a hotel? Thanks in advance!

If you’re within 3 hours of Québec City, the best spot for whale watching is Tadoussac and the Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park.

Whale Watching Operators

  • Croisières AML – large boats or smaller zodiacs, very popular and family-friendly.
  • Vacances Essipit – zodiac tours, more adventurous and close to the whales.

Hotel Suggestions

  • Hotel Tadoussac – classic hotel right by the water, very convenient for tours.
  • Hotel Le Béluga – cozy option close to the docks.
  • Auberge La Tanière – quieter and more intimate, perfect for relaxing after your trip.
