Depends on time of year.

If it's late spring, summer or fall, start in Calgary. Take a day trip to Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology in Drumheller.

Drive through Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper.

Go west through Prince George and Smithers to Prince Rupert.

Catch ferry to Queen Charlotte Islands.

Catch another ferry down to Port Hardy on the northern tip of Vancouver Island.

Cross over to west side of Vancouver Island, around Tofino / Ucluelet.

Return to the east side of the island and drive south to Victoria.

Catch ferry across to Vancouver.

Check out Vancouver.

Will you have a car with you? Do you plan on renting one?

A month is a good amount of time.

If you aren't bringing your own car, consider renting in Calgary, and dropping it in Jasper, then take the train to Prince Rupert, prior to your ferry rides to the Queen Charlottes and Port Hardy. Then pick up a new car in Port Hardy and drop in Victoria. You won't need a car in Victoria or Vancouver, and you will save lots of $$ by not taking a car on the ferrys.
