Thank you moominfamily! In which part of Italy do you live?
Just a quick comment: In Tofino, for a good casual place to eat, don't miss "Tacofino", very good and sometimes unusual food. They also have a food truck in Vancouver. Also, sometimes in northern coastal places like Telegraph Cove and Prince Rupert there can be fog and it is sometimes a bit chilly (even in summer) especially mornings before the fog burns off so best to have a fleece top or some kind of sweater and at least one pair of jeans or long pants. |
Thanks! We are from Turin, north-west, not really a touristic city except from the world famous Egyptian museum!
We think we would doa whale watching tour in telegraph cove. Do you recommend it? |
Oh Torino/Turin is on my list of places to see. I was in Milan in March but ran out of time for Torino. (next time!). I have heard it is a lovely city.
Yes I do recommend the whale watching tour in Telegraph Cove, it is called Stubbs. I have been on it a few times, we took our Australian friends and their kids one year. We saw dolphins, minke whales, orca and another kind of whale which I can't remember now. Plus eagles and otters. The dolphins followed the boat and put on a bit of a show as they do. On any of these tours they can't guarantee you will see every creature and the one most people want to see is the orca. |
Sorry I meant to add that the resident orca pod should still be around in August. And it was humpback whales that we also saw. The captain of the boat is very knowledgeable and seems to have a good sense of where to go for the best sightings.
I think you will enjoy it. |
I have booked at stubb! Looking forward!
