Visit to Nova Scotia and PEI

My wife and I are planning a trip to Nova Scotia and PEI in August of this year. Having never been there we are really looking forward to it. A question came to me as I was planning day trips and how early we could start. It may seem silly, but I think it is important.

Is fog a concern in the mornings and if so, by what time would it normally burn off?

Thanks to anyone that can provide some insight.

While it is fair that you consider such things, there is no way to offer some magic formula that would suggest that the fog will ever burn off. Just have a wide window of 2 or more days for seeing Cape Breton and then run like the devil when you see clear skies.

Although my experience is limited, fog in the morning is not a problem. It might be in Newfoundlsnd, but not in either of these provinces. However, let's hope that the snow has gone by then. PEI had 400+ cm f of snow on the ground ( that is 12 feet if you are American) and it snowed yesterday again.

Thanks for the input. The snow comment is very interesting!
