Victoria in October

I am getting ready to book a trip to Victoria in October. I am curious if this is a good time to go? And if a good time would you go early or late October? We are very flexible. Or is there a better time of year to go? Maybe September? We are trying to avoid summer.

Any input appreciated!!!

Also - we have a week or the trip and need to stay put do to our lodging being through a timeshare. Is there enough to keep us busy? Are there day trips we can take from here? Thanks!

If you do have a choice I would choose September. It is a lovely month in Victoria - my favourite.

There is plenty to keep you busy for a week. You can always rent a car(if you aren't driving here) and take day trips out of the city. You will love it.

I live here. September is often the best month weatherwise. Go for early October or late September and hope for the best.

If you cannot find enough to keep you busy for an enjoyable week, then you are not trying hard enough.

Labour day kills the cruise ship season so the streets are more walkable.

Victorians avoid downtown from May day to Labour day.

I live here too and we love the summer months. It is great to walk the inner harbour in the evening as we do. I love September for the weather and for tourists the accommodations are a little more available. Any month in Victoria is good - just some better than others..
