Victoria in December
Does Victoria decorate for the Christmas holidays? Looking for a spot we could spend about 3 nights and enjoy crisp weather and see some decorations and not have to have a car
Thoughts?

We considered spending Christmas in Victoria at one time, but never have. Expect wet and chilly.

We have done Victoria a couple of times around the Christmas holidays, staying at the Inn at Laurel Pointe, which is right on the harbour. We took a cab to the hotel and didn't require a car for our trip. It really was magical.

Victoria is a perfect place to visit winter. Butchart Garden is one of the most visited spots in Victoria. The garden has magical lighting and holiday decorations everywhere. There is also a venue for ice skating where skate rentals are available too.

If you do visit Butchart Gardens during Christmas do not forget the restaurant. If is truly excellent. We toured the garden one evening when a very light snow was falling and then ate in the restaurant. A truly magical evening!
