Vancouver worth a 2nd trip?

Been to Vancouver for 5 days: saw the Museum, and the park, that one large park with totems (name excapes me), shopped, had delicious meals etc. and went to Victoria and spent 2 nights here, I have a free Alaska airline ticket, and am wondering if I should go back to Vancouver, I travel only to sightsee however, did I miss any major sightseeing attractions in Vancouver? Does Alaska Air go anywhere else in Canada with lots of sightseeing activities, I have already been to Banff. Help please.

Jill,
Some things you didn't mention and might consider if you return to Vancouver:

- Ride up Grouse Mountain on the gondola. You get a beautiful view of the city and surrounding area. In the summer, you can also hike around some.
- Capilano Suspension Bridge in North Vancouver
- Queen Elizabeth Park: lovely sunken gardens. It is in the middle of the city and you get a nice view of the North Shore mountains.
- Van Dusen Gardens: if you are into plants and exotic flowers.
- Vancouver Art Gallery
- Granville Island Market
- University of British Columbia: Museum of Anthropology; Nitobe Gardens
- Take the ferry to Vancouver Island and drive to the west coast of Vancouver Island for spectacular scenery and the Pacific Ocean
- Take the skytrain to New Westminster Quay Market or the seabus to the north shore and Lonsdale Quay
- Explore the different ethnic areas of the city for interesting restaurants and shops
- Visit Steveston, just south of the city, where fishing boats dock and you can buy fish off the boats, eat at the restaurants on the pier, or walk around and look at the shops.

There are lots of things to do and see in and around Vancouver if you get back.
Think about flying into Vancouver and taking an Alaska Cruise in and out of the port of Vancouver. There are some excellent savings this summer

Vancouver is my favorite city in the world. I have already been there twice and I'm definetly going again. You can't possibly do all the things in Vancouver 5 trips! Definetly go again.

Hi Jill
Vancouver is definately a great city destination, but if you are looking for something different check out Kelowna. Horizon Airlines (an Alaska Airlines codeshare) flies into Kelowna from Seattle 4 or 5 times a day. This is a resort region (one of the most popular for summer travel.)
On the shores of Okanagan Lake, we have great beaches, lots of wineries,
golf courses and, great mountain biking. There is comunity theatre productions, and live music in city park every friday and saturday nights.
In the fall, (beginning of October I think) Winefest is a happening time.
Horizon air (as Alaska) also flies into Calgary and Edmonton Alberta from Seattle. Have fun deciding where to go.
