We are arriving in Vancouver on a cruise from Alaska and picking up a rental at Vancouver Intl Airport.
Would a taxi be reasonable for that distance or is there a bus service? (Allowing that we will have luggage)

Is there a reason you're not picking up the car downtown rather than at the airport? Most of the major car rental companies have downtown locations.

Thanks for your interest NWWanderer. We will be flying out of VCR after our touring so thought that the simplest way to do things. What are your recommendations?

You should be able to pick up a car downtown and return it to the airport without incurring a drop charge so that's what I would recommend to avoid the cab ride to the airport.

Which house did you stay in while visiting Tofino? It was a Chesterman beach unit. We are planning a trip this July and need accommodations.
