Vancouver strike
We will be spending a few days in vancouver pre- and post cruise. Had planned to go to Grouse Mountain via the sea bus and "land" bus. With the srtike, how do we get there? I know there are several tours ofered, but they are considerably more expensive. Also, does the 2 day pass for the greyline double decker bus have to be used on 2 consecutive days? Thanks. Bev

I suppose you could always take a cab from downtown Vancouver. I don't know how much a Grey Line bus tour costs, but I'd imagine a cab would be a bit less. There's also a company in town called the Vancouver Trolley Company which feature a hop on/hop off system. I know they stop off at Grouse Mountain. It could possibly be cheaper.

Just back from 2 days post-cruise in Vancouver. We used the trolley the first day, it was $17 and did NOT stop at Grouse Mountain, only a small city loop. The second day, our group of 8 rented a big van and took ourselves around (check out the Castilano suspension bridge!). Depending on the number of people, renting a car can be a great inexpensive alternative.
Have fun!
Joan

From my research for our upcoming trip to Canada/ Vancouver, there are 2 "trolley" loops that operate. One that does city only and another that links with Greyline 2 day pass, which I understand does go to north Vancouver sites such as Capilano and Grouse Mtn.
