Vancouver Restaurants near Robson and Denman ?

Any restaurants that you would recommend in this area?

Not looking for fine dining - just well prepared healthy food that is reasonably priced

thx

You're in luck - Vancouver's big on healthy food, and most restaurants at Robson and Denman aren't fine dining but are in fact casual reasonably-priced restaurants... many of which are Japanese/Korean. There are dozens of choices, literally, within a 10 minute walking span.

Guu with Garlic (Robson and... Nicola? I forget the exact intersection) is hugely popular. I've had excellent Korean meals at Sura (on Robson between Cardero and Nicola)... all very fresh, tasty, and healthy.

I haven't been to Tangthai, but that could be another option:

... I'd almost just meander around and check out the menus. You'll find plenty that suits what you're looking for.

I have been to Le Bistro De Paris on Denman Street near Robson. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in a French bistro. The food is reasonably good. Great frites, French onion soup and escargots.

If you like sushi, there are plenty of places to choose from in that neighborhood. Not an expert, but I have never had better sushi anywhere than I had in Vancouver. And the prices are extremely reasonable and some just very cheap. Enjoy. We loved eating in Vancouver, so many places to choose from.

BTW, if this interests you, lots of the sushi places use brown rice which is a plus if you are thinking, "healthy."

We used to go to Tapastree for a fun meal and I see it's
closed and the owners now have Tavola nearby. Check out
their website - looks good.

Adesso Bistro on Haro St. is near that location. It has a lovely patio and is a bit off the beaten path. Raincity Grill at Denman/Davie is more fine dining, but they do have a take out window and a reasonable brunch and it's right by English Bay. Further up from there and a bit further from the area you described on Dave is Lolita's which is one of our favourites.
cheers,
CC

Ahh yes, Lolita's is great if you want Latin-inspired dishes and great cocktails. Great halibut fish tacos. Rain City Grill is also famous for their 100 mile diet approach to dining.

Denman Street takes all of 15 minutes to walk... I highly recommend it. After your dinner, watch the sunset from English Bay.

BC_Robyn:
My fingers are crossed for good walking weather. My husband loves nothing more than to be on a beach at sunset.

...if it's a good sunsset you want go to the Boathouse at
English Bay in the evening - request a window table and you
will get a great water/sunset view. Unless it's socked in.

...then pick up some picnic makins' at Whole Foods in Park
Royal Village and walk down to Ambleside Beach (just a short
trail away). Lovely place for a beach picnic - watch the
ships come under Lions Gate Bridge and look over to Stanley
Park on the other side of the narrows.

Hmmm...the sun has finally arrived today p'haps I'll take
my own advice.
