Vancouver Restaurants

We are presently booked for 2 days (first weekend in June) at the Blue Horizon (on Robson St) prior to a Monday Alaskan cruise. We’re looking for some good places to eat (with casual dress) within walking distance of the BH.

Robson Street is '<i>restaurant row</i>' there are dozens and dozens of great places on the street and the adjoining side streets-you'll <u>never</u> be a lot for choice.

Vancouver is also fairly compact and pretty walkable for most...although as Steven Wright once said &quot;Everywhere is walking distance, if you have the time.&quot;

I answered an almost identical question a few days ago, and I'll copy my answer:

I'd recommend two of my absolute fav. restaurants right now -
Relish (http://www.relishtherestaurant.com/)
and
Zefferelli's on Robson (above the Cactus Club).

Relish is a stylish loungy place with EXCELLENT food and a fantastic wine list (highly recommend the won ton appy to share, and the duck risotto).
Zefferelli's is a really good pasta joint - the antipasto appy is excellent (good to share), and I always have the penne amatriciana.

Griffin's Restaurant in Hotel Vancouver is good with a nice dessert buffet. Prices are reasonable and it is casual: 900 West Georgia (1 block North of Robson). Yes, Zefferelli's is a good choice.

Check out Joe Fortes. Depending on the weather and your timing, they also have a wonderful rooftop dining venue (we had brunch there).
