Vancouver restaurant question

Next month, my wife and I will be spending a Sat night and a Sun night at the Georgian Court Hotel in Vancouver. Sunday evening, we plan on dining at The Fish House in Stanley Park.
Are reservations recommended?
Also, is the distance from the hotel to the restaurant walkable, or should we plan on taking a taxi?
Thanks.

My guess is that it would take around 45 minutes to walk there from the Georgian Court Hotel, so a taxi is probably your best bet.

I ate at the Fish House a week ago for the second time in around a month. While it is good, it is not in my opinion excellent, and it is rather expensive for what you get. I think a better choice would be the Raincity Grill, which is actually quite close to the Fish House.

I second Daniel's reccomendation. Raincity is IMHO the best West Coast restaurant around and on a nice summer evening the ambiance is very, very Vancuver.

I'll take the Boathouse over the Rain City Grill anyday! It's right down the block.

Jo Carol, I'm not sure if you're confusing the Boathouse with the Fish House. Bubba is asking about the Fish House, and both Gary and I agree that the Rain City Grill is a much better choice than the Fish House. I definately would rank the Boathouse, part of a rather mediocre chain IMHO, a distant third to the other two.

Better than all, if you want fish, is "C" ( thats right, just "C") Considered the top fish house in Vancouver and in the top five overall. If you want to walk, it is on False Creek about 10 blocks from the hotel --but a pleasant walk along the seawall.
cheers,enjoy
