Vancouver Island, Victoria, and Vancouver: any good B&Bs to suggest?
My wife and I are headed that way in October and would appreciate any B&Bs that you might suggest. Thank you!

In the Duncan/Cowichan Bay region of Vancouver Island I highly recommend Pebbled Shores B&B. www.pebbledshores.com

We recently stayed at A Bed on the Inlet in Victoria <www.abedontheinlet.com> for 3 nights and very much enjoyed out stay. It is out of the downtown area by about 5-10 minutes, so that has its pros and cons. We enjoyed the quiet bird sanctuary, and although it is close to the highway we didn't hear the noise. It's a small apartment and the owners provide a delicious "made to order" breakfast. You can get most of the info on the web-site. Cost is about $100.

Try thistle down in north vancouver www.thistle-down.com

We stayed at the Brimar in Tofino last summer and would totally recommend it. It's right on the main beach, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, the breakfasts were huge and really good and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for?

In the Duncan/Ladysmith/Nanaimo area of Vancouver Island I'd recommend Kiwi Cove Lodge.
www.kiwicovelodge.com We spent last week-end there, our second visit. It's just off Highway 1, but quiet, on a 10-acre kiwi orchard. The hosts are a good mixture of helpful and inobtrusive. Great breakfast (featuring kiwis, of course). I second stillaliveca's recommendation of the Brimar on Chesterman Beach near Tofino. |
I would recommend Affinity Guesthouse.
Amazing people. Amazing place: http://www.affinityguesthouse.ca/ |
We are leaving on Tues for 3 weeks on Vancouver Island...I did a ton of research and found some wonderful B&B's and Inns.
If you go to my blog and click on April....then go to April 12....you'll find links to all of the places that we're staying. Also if you check back with me after the 3rd of June I can give you a full report. http://baileyzimmerman.blogspot.com |
