Vancouver Island Lodges
I would like to hear recommendations for fabulous remote lodges on Vancouver Island.
|
This was what I had posted the other day - this place is great check out their website -
For anyone looking for a delightful and almost too good to be true spot I will tell you our favourite. Just so you know I have nothing to do with this place so have nothing to gain by telling anyone. It is called Tsa Kwa Luten Lodge. It is on Quadra Island (a short ferry ride from Campbell River) We discovered it and couldn't believe our good fortune. We go back every year during the shoulder season when the price is unbelievable. The lodge itself is beautiful - huge timber beams etc. It is quite secluded with gorgeous water view. You can practically reach out and touch the cruise ships as they sail past. The food is out of this world. Check it out for yourselves a website tells you about Quadra complete with map of hiking trails etc. Here is the website http://www.capemudgeresort.bc.ca/ The prices are all in Canadian funds which makes it an even better deal. Just thought I would pass that on because I know some of you are looking for exactly that. |
Let me chime in on that one, if I may - we stayed there a couple of years ago and LOVED it. There's a boat trip that can be arranged by the front desk - a tour of the area via Zodiac. Fantastically interesting and well worth the reasonable cost.

The place as mentioned is anything but remote and in fact has a view of the dreary mill town of Campbell River.
http://www.wildretreat.com is what you're looking for I'm sure. |
The remote lodges have their focus on different activties (bear whatching, whale whatching, fishing, sea-kaying).
It is helpfull for a recommendation, if we know a little more, what you are looking for. |
