Vancouver hotel help

We'll be coming to Vancouver from Victoria and after two days leaving by bus to Seattle. Where is the best area to search for hotel or B&B so we can travel by public transport or short taxi drives?
Any hotel or b&b suggestions will be very appreciated.

IMO it's best to be right in downtown Vancouver so you can walk to things and only take buses or taxis rarely if at all. What's your price range and what time of year are you coming (prices fluctuate a lot depending on the season)?

We are coming August 8 from Victoria and leaving August 10 to Seattle.
Thank you for your help.

Hi you may want to check out the tourism bc web site for some ideas. They have prety good descriptions of the hotels but I would double check some of the prices. I notice they list the Delta Vancouver suites at $219 and up but the last time we stayed there it was $99. They also have specials for many hotels

Try the Blue Horizon on Robson--it might be in your price range. The Sylvia is another option but it's very popular so it may be full already. August is high season though so finding a decent place in a good location for that amount might be tough.

Thank you for your suggestions, I booked the Delta suites. How much approximately is taxi fare to the hotel from PLC bus station?
