If you're really looking for "meaty" and want some live music, consider Samba's on Burrard at Alberni - it's a Brazilian steakhouse with all you can eat meat - we've been there a few times and have had steak, veal, ostrich, chicken, buffalo, shrimp, sausage, lamb...the list goes on and on...they've also got a little band, some brazilian dancers, and occasionally a capoeira guy who puts on a show.
Okay, so it's not the highest-end place in town, but if you want some entertainment, don't want to drop a huge load of cash, and don't mind a minor meat-coma from all the food, you can't go far wrong =^) (plus the korean karaoke place next door is fun for after dinner)
