Vancouver B&B's
Has anyone stayed at the English Bay Inn? My husband and I started with a hotel, but changed our accomodations. I would appreciated any suggestions, we'll be there middle of May. Also good restaurant suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Leslye: never heard of your B&B. I do know of most of the major hotels in downtown Vancouver, however. The best upscale would be Pan Pacific of course (I used to work there) and then 4 Seasons and the Sutton Place. There is also a very affordable Sheraton or two downtown so you can walk to everything. Vancouver has some great Italian places, Il Giardino is my favourite.
Hi Barb,

Could you please recommend a good B&B? Or are we better off with a hotel?

Thanks for the help. It's hard making a decision without knowing much about Vancouver.

The English Bay Inn is awesome--I would highly recommend it! I'm a NW travel planner & writer and I've stayed just about everywhere in Vancouver and would stay there again in a heartbeat. The host is great, and the location, steps from Stanley Park, is wonderful.

Hope this isn't too late!

Sheri,
I read your post about Vancouver and need info on some hotels in Vancouver. First, how is the Sylvia and Lord Stanley Suites? Does the English Bay Inn allow children (12 and older)? Second, what hotels would you recommend on Robson street around $100 - $120.Thanks for any info you can provide.

I'm so bummed!! When nobody responded knowing about the English Bay Inn, I got squirmy and booked at Sutton Place Hotel. English Bay Inn is adult only, no kids, but when I was looking there are plenty of B&B's where kids are welcome. I received the brochure in the mail from the English Bay Inn and it looks wonderful!! I'm going to check it out when I'm there!!

So, Leslie, have you ended up staying at the English Bay Inn or not? If so, how did you like it? I'm going to Vancouver with my husband in Sept and would love to hear your thoughts (or anyone else's) about it!

thanks!

AF
