Vancouver

Coming to Seattle on Christmas. Husband wants to go to Vancouver. Since we are US citizens, how many days can we visit without a passport? Are there any sporting events in Vancouver? If so, where could someone purchase tickets for the sporting event?

I don't think Americans need a passport to enter Canada, but it always helps to have one. Vancouver is home to the Vancouver Canucks, An NHL hockey team. You could check their website to see where tickets can be purchased.

Leuk is right. You don't need to have a passport, but it simplifies life if you do. If you don't have a passport, be sure to bring a certified copy of your birth certificate and a photo id. You'll need it for returning to the US moreso than getting into Canada.

Vancouver is great!

I'm pretty sure that you can stay up to 180 days in Canada with or without a passport BUT do not try to bring firearms of any description. For all types of events, try www.ticketmaster.ca

Thanks for adding the ticketmaster.ca info. That was my missing piece.
