Vancouver - Which to choose?

My wife and I (from UK) are planning the finish our tour of BC and Vancouver Island in September with two nights in a good standard hotel in Vancouver. Problem is - which one?
We are favouring at the moment, The Landmark or The Blue Horizon. Anyone have any thoughts? Many thanks.
We don't have an unlimited budget, but would like to "spoil" ourselves slightly at the end of our trip.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I weekend at the Weston Bayshore in Vancouver 2 or 3 times per year. It has nothing to do with the fact that Howard Hughes once lived there ... though he, of all people would know how to spoil himself.

I have stayed at the Sutton, Listel and Pacific Pallisade hotels while travelling on business, all have different prices ranges. I would recommend all of them clean, nicely decorated, good food, in a good area of downtown on Robson street and the Sutton near Robson.

check out the official tourism site of Vancovuer the hotels have some special package rates on . The Sutton is listed at $195.00

You may also want to call the hotels and ask if they have a corporate rate - many do at considerably less than the posted room rate.

I would say that if you are looking for an unbelievable view you should choose the Landmark and ask for one of the higher rooms. The Pacific Pallisades would be a good choice and may be better if you are looking for just a nice hotel and aren't concerned about the view, or if you have vertigo. Both are well located for walking around town.

Sorry, you asked about the Blue Horizon - it is a little closer to the action on Robson Street and also has good views if you get the right room.
