UBC in Vancouver

University of British Columbia in Vancouver has a number of attractions, including its renowned Museum of Anthropology.
The Seattle Times has published a good travel article about its attractions: https://www.seattletimes.com/life/tr...l-attractions/

The museum is a must for those interested in Aboriginal artworks and the ethnography of the West Coast First Nations. One special attraction is that the scholarly work takes place behind glass walls, open to public view. And its location, at the edge of a steep bank looking across the ocean entrance to Vancouver Harbour, is truly spectacular. Across campus, some distance away, the UBC botanical gardens, are among the best in Canada.

Indeed, the museum is a must for *anyone* visiting Vancouver ... not only for people interested in Aboriginal/First Nations. Its location and its view, as Southam described above, is spectacular. The building itself (by Arthur Erickson) is equally spectacular. And its exhibits of totem poles, native canoes, and artifacts are simply outstanding ... both for what the exhibits contain and also for the quality and nature of the displays.
