Travelling with a DUI record.
 

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I have been out of the United State. I am going to get married in the spring of 2017. And we are planning to visit Canada in the summer. My fiance has friends in Montreal who will arrange us accommodation and be our guides.
My question is can I travel to Canada if I have been convicted of a DUI? It's been 3 or 4 yrs after doing my time in rehab. I changed from my old habits. Ther are no other records since then. So, are there any procedures that have I take in order to permit my entry into Canada?

Meanwhile, I just read one page when I was googling about Temporary Resident Permit. http://www.pardoncanada.com/travel-t...ian-entry-trp/ Do I have to see a Canadian attorney for applying. Like you said, are they trying to sell their service? Do you know if I can apply directly with Canadian Immigration Consulate?
