traveling to NB

We will be traveling to New Brunswick soon. Any suggestions on fun things to see and do? We enjoy beautiful scenery.

I would think that the Bay of Fundy plays a major role in recreation in NB. The Hopewell Rocks park has about the highest tides in the world, averaging over 30 feet daily. Nearby is Fundy National Park, with scenic shore as well as boreal forest. I think there's tidal bore rides in or near St. John. I don't recall a lot of choice in accomodations around Hopewell Rocks/ Fundy National Park, so you might consider going onto the internet and checking around for lodging if that area interests you.

We travelled to NB in August entering by way of Confederation Bridge and travelled through Moncton, down to Hopewell Rocks, Shediac , St. John and St. Andrews by the sea. Took a good day of the day to do this. We travelled to Black Harbour and went on to Grand Manan Island where you may consider to stay. We went whale watching here and it was a 4-5 hour excursion with chowder and company worth remembering. I loved the south coast of NB and would gladly go back again and spend a longer time there. Hopewell rocks the tide is high at 12:00 noon and low tide was at 6:00 pm. St. John has the reversing falls which unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see.

I may be a bit biased as I am from Saint John, so might I suggest a stop here. Check out the city's Tourism website. There is lots of info

My personal suggestions? City Market, a walk along Harbour Passage, the Loyalist Burial Ground, Fort Howe, Martello Tower...the list goes on. Of course in Saint John you are also close to St. Andrews, Hopewell Rocks, and much more! Enjoy!

Have you been to the Rossmount Inn
for dinner?

I have not eaten at the Rossmount, I will check in with the gang at work to see if they are familiar with it. If you are going to be in the St. Andrew's area, might I suggest a stop to Pennfield. This tiny town is between Saint John and St. Andrew's. There is a restaurant there called Comeau's. It has the BEST BEST seafood in the area. ENJOY!! any other questions??? :)
